Sponsoring an After Hours Mixer is a great way to promote your business. Held on the fourth Thursday of each month from 5:30- 7:30 p.m., they offer an opportunity for you to have fellow Chamber members and guests visit your place of business, and for you to serve as official host and be able to extend a special welcoming greeting as well as impart information about your company’s goods and services. You also benefit from advertising for the event, plus post event recognition in our Burbank Business Journal newsletter.

There is no fee involved, but in hosting a Mixer you will be expected to provide food, alcoholic beverages, and soft drinks. A temporary liquor license is required, and our Chamber staff can assist in obtaining one.

Please note that our After Hour Mixers take place on the third Thursday in November and December.

Burbank Business Partners

The purpose of the Burbank Business Partners is to have Burbank businesses offer support and assistance to our local schools. Specific goals include encouraging local businesses to offer paid summer internships to Burbank and Burroughs high schools students, assist the Burbank High Academy of Finance and Burroughs High Business Academy by providing monthly business speakers, and to promote having Burbank businesses hire new employees locally from within our Burbank community.

State of the City Luncheon

This special annual event held in October is sponsored exclusively by our Chamber, allowing our Mayor each year the opportunity to give an address away from the usual City Council forum. Based on the President’s annual State of the Union address, and the Governor’s annual State of the State address, each Mayor can talk about their goals and what progress is being made, and to single out for special recognition the contributions of the business community.
