Dear Members,
I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful summer and the much needed time with family and friends. As June comes to a close, I’d like to take the opportunity to update you on the progress and execution toward our 2018 strategic objectives and initiatives identified in 2016 and 2017. Here’s a mid-year review of our accomplishments:
-We created a financially sustainable business model with a budget surplus.
-We launched a new website and have a stronger social media presence. The chamber is more visible in the community.
-We have modernized our infrastructure, both physically and technologically.
-The Traffic Management Organization (TMO) has relocated from its current location to shared space in the Chamber offices adding tremendous benefit.
-We are finalizing the creation of a new 501(c)3 Chamber affiliate, which will open new revenue resources to the Chamber by obtaining local, private, and grant funds to carry out a stronger economic development program.
-We continue to strengthen membership advocacy and government relations.
Finally, a heartfelt Thank You to our Board of Directors, Staff, Ambassadors, and to the following committees: Building Fund, Financial, Marketing, Membership, and Public Affairs. Your hard work is not lost on me.
I look forward to a fun, rewarding second half of the year. My door is always open — please stay in touch!
